Betty Jo Tyson

Betty Jo Tyson, 77, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at her residence. She has lived in Darien the past 33 years, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was an extraordinary caring and loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis F. Tyson; daughter Linda Tyson; and son Lewis L. Tyson.

She is survived by her children, Robert Tyson (Donna) of Sugarland, Janet Tyson of Darien, Tim Tyson (Betty) of Darien, and Richard Tyson (Debbie) of Brunswick; grandchildren Lewis L. Tyson (Heather), Amy Bailey, Marshall Tyson, Brad Tyson, Sean Tyson, Deena Pritts and Troy Pritts; great-grandchildren Zachary, Dylan, Daniel, Melaine and Morgan.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Hinesville Cemetery.
