Benjamin Randall Lawless
Benjamin Randall Lawless, age 42, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
He is a native of Charlotte, N.C., and grew up in Dalton. A long-time resident of Atlanta, he had also lived Lopez Island, Wash., and more recently Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Ben was gifted in many ways–most obviously as a musician. A prolific song writer, recorder and producer, he was also a supreme jokester, amusing story-teller, master debater and the ultimate contrarian. He had talent, creativity, soul, and passion that left many people taken aback. A true non-conformist, he inspired others with the authenticity with which he lived his life.
He is survived by his parents, Billy and Teeny Lawless of Townsend; brothers, Will Lawless of Atlanta and Sam (Tory) Lawless of Savannah; a sister, Leigh (Alex) Acevedo of Savannah; two nieces, Georgia Lawless and Emilia Acevedo; and extended family and friends near and far.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Strickland officiating.
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
