Jackson Williamson arrested for
murder of Trequan Malik Hickmon
Jackson Alexander Williamson, 19, has been charged with the shooting death of Tequan Malik Hickmon, 20, that occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
At 12:12 p.m. on Tuesday, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel responded to a 911 call on Jim Truesdell Road. According to the report provided by the McIntosh County Office of the Sheriff, a deputy arrived at the scene at 12:13 p.m. and found Hickmon lying in the road. The officer advised that the victim had been shot at least two times and he was beginning CPR at that time.
Also, the officer advised he had been informed of a suspect, gave a description of the suspect and where he resided. Several deputies then went to 1059 Black Road Extension, where Williamson resided. The deputy at the scene continued to conduct CPR, along with a volunteer fireman.
Hickmon died at the scene. He had been living with a relative at 1108 Jim Truesdell.
Witnesses of the shooting were escorted to the Sheriff’s Office to provide statements concerning Hickmon’s death.
Around 2 p.m., investigators executed a search warrant of Williamson’s residence and at 3:06 p.m., the investigators completed the search, according to the report. At 4:18 p.m., Williamson was charged with murder. He is a white male, 5’3″ tall and weighs 115 pounds.
On Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, Col. Danny Lowe, with the Sheriff’s Office, said the investigation of the murder continues and more charges may be forthcoming.
