Julia Parker Crews of Townsend passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
She lived her life for “Service Before Self”. She was a current emergency medical technician with Heartland EMT. She was also a past EMT and volunteer firefighter with McIntosh County.
The Atlanta native was a graduate of Ware County High School. She attended Gwinnett Technical College for nursing and graduated as an EMT from Ware County Technical College. She had been a resident of Townsend for more than 20 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Brandon Crews of Townsend; two grandchildren; her biological parents, John and Ann Light; and a sister, Dena Light.
The family and first responders will line up at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, March 19, at Edo Miller Funeral Home and will depart at 10:30 a.m. to Shellman Bluff Baptist Church, where a celebration of life service will begin at noon, with the Rev. Brad Butler officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be all first responders in attendance.
Memorial contributions may be made in Julia’s memory to Shellman Bluff Baptist Church.
