Cora Lee Alexander, 86, of Townsend, Georgia entered peacefully into Heavens gates where she was reunited with her late husband on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

Mrs. Cora Lee was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and the daughter of the late Lyle Howard and the late Mae Julia Howard. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Theodore R. Alexander Jr.; a son, Milton P. Alexander; also a brother, Curtis Howard.

Mrs. Cora Lee was a retired manager from Bluestein’s Deli. After her retirement she became a full time homemaker, a job that she took great pleasure in. Taking care of her family was very important to her. She was a selfless lady that always placed everyone’s needs before her own. She enjoyed cooking and attending her church. She was a member of Townsend Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Mrs. Cora Lee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Reta J. Alexander of Townsend; a sister, Shirley Howard Riddle (David) also of Townsend; two grandchildren, Eric Grissino (Angela) and Brandy Davis; four great grandchildren, Micah Grissino, Piper Grissino, Kyle Davis, and Cassidy Davis.

The family will receive friends between 3:00 – 4:30 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. You are cordially invited to join the family in celebrating a life well lived at the funeral service starting at 4:30PM in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with her grandson, Pastor Eric Grissino officiating. The committal service will follow the funeral in Davis Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Kyle Davis, Daniel Jenkins, Timmy Howard, Jason Riddle, Blake Jenkins, and Colton Knight.
