Allison Joyce Chinski
It is with great sadness that the family of Allison Joyce (Hires) Chinski, of Adairsville and Darien, announces her passing on May 21, 2021. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of eighty-one, and will be missed by all that knew her.
Allison was born on December 18, 1939 in Blue Island, IL. She graduated from Bremen High School in Midlothian, IL, in 1957. Ally was a member of Pine Log UMC for 34 years and taught Sunday School to many children that called her Grandma for many of those years. Her most prized possessions were her extensive family and the relationships she cherished with so many people.
Allison was “beatitudiful”, the personification of Matthew 5:3-11, with a twinkle in her eye that was a spark of love and grace to all who encountered her; A true model of Christian witness.
Allison Chinski was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Dorothy Hires; brother, Thomas Hires; and daughter, Donna Lynn (Asbridge) Torrence.
She is survived by loving husband, Larry Chinski Sr.; daughters, Sandi (Bert) Smith, Lisa (Mark) Ward, and Kristen (Charles) Gray; sons, Lee (Amy) Asbridge and Larry Chinski Jr.; son-in-law, Rick Torrence; sisters, Patricia (Tom) Pavlik and Kathleen Erickson; sister-in-law, Barbara Hires; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren, and many loving extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Pine Log Methodist Church, Tabernacle at ten o’clock in the morning.
