Willie Joe Pinkney, of Eulonia, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, at Shorter Chapel in Eulonia, with burial to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.

A walk-through viewing will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26, at Darien Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Florine Pinkney; children, Pearl Hollis, Victoria Norman, Lorraine Alston, Angela Alston, Miriam Moran, Willie Joe Pinkney Jr., Willie Dean Pinkney, Cheryl Reed and Eldred Pinkney; siblings, Sammie Lee Pinkney, Mamie Lee Pinkney, Mae Ella Edwards, Pearl Ward Sr., Janice Spence and Jewel Ellison; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
