Mary “Gramsy” Barrett

 

Mary Margaret Barrett who loved to be called “Gramsy” by her

kids and grandchildren, departed her loving family on September 29, 2023.

 

Mary was born on June 16, 1943 in Savannah, Georgia to Charles and Florence

Passler. Mary was mother to William, Susan and Pamela (Pennell). She raised

her children in Danbury, Connecticut with love and devotion. Mary loved to garden

and was a cat person. She was most proud of all of her children and grandchildren’s achievements. Mary never wanted to be the center of attention.

 

Mary is survived by her husband, Allen Barrett of Townsend, Georgia, her son

William Pennell and his sons Jacob and Ryder of North Carolina, her daughter

Susan Yantorno, husband Darin and their daughters, Brenna and Sydney of Connecticut,

daughter Pamela Escamilla, husband Michael and sons, Garrison, Ashton and Logan of New Jersey, and Betty, her faithful cat.

 

Private services are planned for a future date. Friends wishing to honor Mary may

make a donations to Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia.
