Aubrey L. Mosley

Mr. Aubrey L. Mosley, age 75, of McIntosh County, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Memorial Health in Savannah, after a sudden illness.

He was a native of Toombs County and grew up in Lyons.  He was a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry.  Earlier in his life, he worked for John Deere and Caterpillar, and thirty-two years ago, he founded and operated Equipment Brokers in McIntosh County. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, gardening, and feeding deer.

He is preceded in death by a son Chandler Mosley; and parents, Louis Mosley and Alice Colson Mosley.

His family includes one daughter, Amanda Mosley of Greensboro, North Carolina;  one aunt, Robena Colson of Lyons; ten cousins, Randy Colson, Jerry Colson, Cathy Colson Bondurant and husband Chuck, Gail Colson Durden and husband Ken, Milton Colson and wife Cheryl, Jon Bentley, Greg Higgs, Janet Higgs Perry and husband Al, Randy McLeod and Donald Ferrarini; and special friends, Chris Ferguson and wife Jamie of Brooklet, Steve Jessup of Townsend, Pat Tompkins of Brantley County, and Gary Cowart and wife Liz of Sunbury.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., with a graveside service at 12:00 noon at Pine Crest Cemetery, with Pastor Brian Durden officiating.
