Patrick Henry Hope

Patrick Henry Hope, 62, of Townsend, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, he lived in McIntosh County all his life and worked as a crabber and commercial fisherman.  He enjoyed the outdoors, time spent with family, and his beloved K9 companion, Dredge.

He attended Crescent Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Hope, Jr. and Betty Howard Polk; and his sister, Janie Thomas.

Survivors are his son, Christopher Hope of Townsend; sister, Joann “Jody” Jenkins (Keith) of Crescent; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
