Johnny Stephen Howard, 63, of Darien, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and was a commercial shrimper most of his life.  Johnny was known as a loving family man and enjoyed getting together with them and his friends whenever possible.  He attended Townsend Church of God and was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Howard and Margaret Owens; and his brother, Leon Howard.

Survivors are his daughters, Vivian Howard of Townsend and Amber Howard of Darien; son, Charles Davis of Springfield, FL; sisters, Martha Patton of Brunswick and Danielle Saldana (Adrian) of Weatherford, TX; brothers, Donnie Howard (Cathy), Kenneth Howard, and Shea Howard, all of Darien; stepfather, Darrell Owens of Crescent; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery with Pastor Danny Stilwell and Tim Gardner officiating.
