Gov. Kemp appoints Billy Joe Nelson and

Brad Dixon as Superior Court Judges

Governor Brian Kemp notified McIntosh County native and District Attorney Billy Joe Nelson and Richmond Hill attorney Brad Dixon on Monday evening, Aug. 3, to fill the two vacant positions for Superior Court judge in the Atlantic Judicial Circuit.

Judge Glen Cheney retired on March 1 and Chief Judge Robert L. Russell retired on April 30.

According to Nelson, Gov. Kemp did not identify which judge’s position Dixon and he will fill.
