Darien juvenile arrested on multiple charges of

entering-auto and transaction card theft cases

A 15-year-old Darien male has been charged with 23 felon offenses and 44 misdemenaor offenses related to entering-auto incidents, financial transaction card thefts, and other associated offenses, McIntosh County Sheriff Thornell “T.K.” King announced on Sept. 29, after presstime.

The arrest came following several months of investigation into a series of entering-auto and financial transaction card thefts cases throughout Darien.

During the investigation, investigators developed evidence connecting a juvenile to numerous offenses involving vehicles and stolen financial transaction cards. The investigation involved reviewing reports, conducting interviews, and following up on information developed through the investigation.

Sheriff King said, “I want to commend the outstanding work of the MCSO patrol deputies and the Criminal Investigation Division. Their dedication and thorough investigation led to the successful closure of this case, resulting in a juvenile being charged with 23 felony and 44 misdemeanor counts. This is exactly the kind of teamwork that keeps our community safer.”
