David Ronald Driggers Sr.

David Ronald Driggers, Sr., 80, of Townsend, departed this life Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Townsend Church of God, with Rev. Bruce Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hopkins Cemetery.

Born February 22, 1946, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Sess Peoples and Evelyn Vanelle N. Driggers, he was a graduate of Darien High School Class of 1964. He was also a veteran of the Georgia Air Guard. He worked as a commercial crabber and was also a propane truck driver.

Mr. Driggers Sr. was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and enjoyed being on the water, eating out with his friends, and caring for his canine companion “Little Girl”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David Ronald Driggers, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Driggers (Scott Sutlive) of Cresent; three grandchildren, Marcus Stamey, Tabitha Stamey, and Daphanie Driggers (Jeffrey Becker); three great-grandchildren, Branson Underwood, Callyn Driggers and Jeffery Becker.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 28, 2026, at Townsend Church of God from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com.
